Two types of filters, each with four different attenuation values.

At NOIZEZZ we distinguish between two types of filters: MF-Filters and PF-Filters. Each type is available in four attenuation levels. For the universal hearing protectors you can visit our webshop. For custom-made products, you can visit our head office in Hoofddorp, an affiliated audiologist or one of the locations where we are present. Keep an eye on our calendar.

What is the difference?

Performance Filter (PF)

Our Performance Filters have what we call “curved attenuation”. This means that the filter attenuates the higher frequencies in the sound spectrum more. It feels like ‘the sharp edge’ is taken off the sound. So with this, you filter out mainly the higher frequencies from your environment.

This unique feature makes this filter very popular while motorcycling or in the workplace. The damping character of the Performance Filter also lends itself very well to counteract overstimulation and fatigue.

The Performance Filter is available in four levels:

Extreme

Strong

Medium

Mild

Music Filter (MF)

Our Music Filters have what we call “flat attenuation. This means that the filter attenuates the same amount across the entire width of the sound spectrum. It feels like turning an imaginary volume knob back a bit and all the tones sound the same in relation to each other.

Because of this unique feature, we often see this filter in situations where music dominates. You can perceive the music exactly as it is intended while still properly protecting your hearing.

The Music Filter is available in four levels:

Mild
